Tito Livius, also known as Tito Livius Patavinus, was a Roman historian born in Padua, Italy around 59 BC.

He is famous for his monumental work 'Ab Urbe Condita Libri' ('History of Rome from its Foundation'), which narrates the history of Rome from its foundation to the reign of Augustus.

Although little is known about his personal life, his work has had a great influence on classical historiography and his narrative style has been admired for centuries.
